What do the critics have to say about Erin?

Freelance Editor Review of Shadow Walk: The Gathering

Shadow Walk so happens to be the most original take on the End Times/End of the World genre I have ever read.

As a difficult reader to hold, Shadow Walk literally pulled me through page-by-page to a somewhat unsettling and challenging last page.

Ms. Collins has taken Biblical Prophecy away from the standard 'teaching' and, touched it with modern science and technology; giving Reader a rather fantastic (but highly possible) scenario of Earth's last birth pains.

Take Revelation with a twist of Science Fiction/Scientific Fact and you have just touched the tip of the iceberg.

Erin Collins' debut novel will make you think...

Sirius Tanas is just not any man. He has become a major player in government and business, he has a darker side. See, he is really Lucifer. He can shuck his human guise and show his true self. One of his main purposes is not only to conquer the world, but to bring forth the AntiChrist - to find the best genetically engineer people so his son's 'vessel' - the woman who will give him birth, must be perfect. While the world sees him in genetic research, he is going after his own agenda.

To fulfil the prophecy of the coming of the AntiChrist and the End of Times. Yikes!

Ms. Collins takes us methodically through the process of a family that has unfortunately been tapped for 'greatness' - not...

When the child is born - the person destined to cause a reign of terror that will proceed the Rapture - he shows love for his mother. But that is part of the AntiChrist - to the public he is their saving grace - the person who is so selfless he will lead the world back to order.

It is frightening. Ms. Collins takes us to a dramatic climax that makes you hold your breath as you know all the pieces are in place and there is no way to stop the prophecy from happening so the ending is more shocking than ever.

This is a different take on an End of Times book. It even brings in Roswell New Mexico and aliens' genetic strains...it all adds up to an new take on a theme and it works.

Ms. Collins knows how to work the cadence of a book and leave you in mid-breath.

A most interesting book.
